Understanding the dosha

According to Ayurveda, doshas are the energy patterns that flow around our bodies, governing our thinking and behaviour. There are three primary doshas – vata, pitta and kapha – and we are all born with all three of them. But it’s the dominance of one or two of these doshas that defines who we are. To enjoy a balanced mind, body and spirit, so the thinking goes, our unique dosha constitution needs to be in a state of equilibrium. When it isn’t, we fall ill.

Conserving the herbs we love

Without plants, life on this planet would not be possible. Yet, many valuable plants are under threat due to loss of habitat and the growing demand for natural products. We’ve always believed passionately in conserving plant species and habitats; it’s the reason we partnered up with respected organisations such as FairWild and the Soil Association, and it’s the reason we’re supporting a number of plant conservation projects across the world.
